£18,198 - £18,933 per annum (pro rata) (A Living Wage Allowance is payable on all hours worked to bring the pay rate for this post up to a minimum of £9.90 per hour))

We are seeking a number of dynamic individuals with a passion for both providing care and promoting peoples’ independence to take on the role of Reablement Worker. You will be assisting people while they increase their confidence and abilities in all aspects of personal care and daily living tasks to ensure people are given the chance to regain skills to live independently.

The service is provided 365 days a year from 7am to 10pm and operates on a 4 days on/4 days off rolling shift pattern. This includes regular weekdays, weekends, evenings, Bank Holidays and split shift working patterns, depending on contracted hours. Variable hours are on offer and also morning and afternoon shift work all of which are negotiable. 

In return you will be supported through supervision both formally and informally, have access to extensive training opportunities and we will support you to undertake a level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care. 

We are committed to ensuring all our critical, priority workers are offered and receive the required doses of the Covid 19 vaccine in accordance with Government guidance. 

In addition to this, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a fundamental aspect of infection prevention and control with the Council’s commitment to ensuring a supply of PPE to our critical, priority employees to protect employees continue to safely provide support to people. 

Induction and training requirement on how to safely use PPE is mandatory for all our critical, priority employees and as a service committed to health and safety, Covid risk assessments are being carried out to identify and address initial and immediate risks in the homes of people we support prior to undertaking home visits. 

Applicants require a full driving licence and access to a car to undertake home visits with the Council providing reimbursement for mileage incurred for business use purposes.
