Minimum requirement for this post is a level 2 in Youth Work.

The position is to cover any short term urgent cover requirements, such as sickness and absences, on a casual basis and as such there are no guaranteed numbers of hours to work, with all sessions being based on your availability.

When the cover is needed all casually employed colleagues will be contacted electronically to highlight the opportunity. The next step would be for a  worker to confirm they are available and would like to be considered. The lead worker seeking cover will then be in contact.

The right person should be capable of:

  • Helping to deliver creative and innovative youth work programmes for young people with Youth Workers.
  • Building positive relationships with young people.
  • Ensuring all health and safety of sessions are followed and where needed concerns are reported to the worker in charge of the session.

Ideally, you will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality youth work.
