This is an extremely interesting post providing support to a visually impaired Social Care Group Manager in all aspects of administrative work and practical support. This will include various tasks such as diary management, arranging meetings, note taking, reading aloud relevant correspondence, data input, collation and monitoring of records. Excellent communication skills are required along with a professional working attitude as you will have regular contact with colleagues throughout the Local Authority and partner agencies, and be a point of contact for the Group Manager. 

You will be an experienced administrator with a genuine commitment to deliver a high standard of business support, being able to demonstrate proven IT skills and competency in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.  Accuracy and numeracy skills are essential to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard on behalf of the Group Manager; whilst maintaining confidentiality and acting within the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) at all times.  You will have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise work effectively and work to conflicting demands and changing priorities.

A full driving licence and access to a car is required as you will be required to drive the Group Manager and her Guide Dog to meetings, visits, and training events throughout Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire County Council operates a flexible working policy and you will be required to work in a variety of settings supporting the Group Manager. There may also be occasions when you will be needed to work outside of core working hours.
