This is a newly created key post established within the Safeguarding, Assurance and Improvement Group, initially on a temporary basis for a 0.5fte Youth Violence and Child Exploitation Coordinator. The postholder will coordinate the Youth Violence and Criminal Exploitation Panels and have a role in developing the knowledge and skills of the workforce through advice, guidance and training.

This is an opportunity to be involved in the work of the Multi-Agency Youth Violence and Criminal Exploitation Panel, made up of senior colleagues from across the safeguarding partnership and assist the local authority and its partners in safeguarding children from harm, and preventing offending and reoffending.

Your experience, personal and professional skills will enable you to work autonomously and equally as part of a team of other professionals. Good communication skills, confidence, self-motivation and enthusiasm is important to this role as is an excellent grasp of IT and data gathering. There will be an opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of this service including policy and procedure developments as well as to be responsible for the day to day management of the tasks associated with this very important area of safeguarding work.
