Ashfield Day Service is a Day Service provision for people with a learning Disability, Physical Disability, People with Mental Health needs and older persons A Caretaker is required to work 37 hours per week, between the Hours of 6.00 till 11:00 am and 4.00 pm to 6:30 pm Monday to Thursday (6:00am till 11:00am and 4:00to 6:00pm Friday

You may be required to provide cover for centrals other Day Service premises in based Rainworth area

We are looking for an individual who has experience of caretaking/ cleaning and the use of relevant cleaning equipment to achieve the high standards of cleanliness and can work within a busy schedule at Ashfield Day Services  We are looking for someone who is flexible and keen in their approach to working in an environment which offers a day service for people with different needs and has an ability to work on their own initiative but also as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential a working knowledge of Health & Safety, Premises security, emergency procedures, COSHH and risk assessments, will be important. You will also have responsibility for the ordering of cleaning materials and equipment and maintain stock records and inventories.  You will also be required to carry out minor D.I.Y tasks including painting and decorating.

You will be sensitive to the needs and feelings of people who access the service and understand the Department’s equal opportunities policy. We can offer training and a supportive working environment with regular supervision
