Wish to appoint for September 2019 or January 2020

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Social Sciences teacher to work in a highly skilled and supportive department.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and talented practitioner with strong classroom management abilities to join our team. You will have a passion for planning innovative lessons and the skills to engage, inspire and motivate our students. NQTs are welcome to apply and will benefit from high quality mentoring and support.

You must have the knowledge and / or experience to offer GCSE Psychology as well as Level 2 Health and Social Care, PSHE and Citizenship, and Key Stage 3 RE. Our Key Stage 4 Social Sciences courses are very popular and many students go on to take Level 3 courses at our Trust 6th Form. There may be the opportunity for applicants with the relevant skills and experience to teach post-16 courses.

Alderman White School is a friendly, thriving and stimulating place to work and study. We achieved a well-deserved Good judgement in 2017, and achievement is on a secure upward trend. Our students are well-behaved and motivated. We have excellent support from parents and the community, and a talented and positive staff team. We are ambitious for every student and provide high-quality pastoral care and support, as well as outstanding enrichment opportunities for our students and the local community. We are committed to excellent professional development for all. Continued school improvement is supported by membership of the White Hills Park Trust.

The school is conveniently located 5 minutes from Junction 25 of the M1, close to the A52, as well as tram and bus routes, in a suburban area close to Nottingham University.

Informal visits to the school are encouraged. If you would like to discuss the role with the Head of Department or arrange an informal visit, please contact Heather Crofts, School Administrator, on 0115 9170424.
