We are looking for highly skilled administrators with an aptitude for minute taking - shorthand is not essential.

You will work closely with a team of Child Protection Co-Ordinators and Independent Reviewing officers taking minutes at sensitive and confidential safeguarding meetings.  We are looking for people who are highly organised to meet the demands of a busy work schedule and ensure deadlines are met.  Effective planning and preparation are key for this role along with proven word processing skills and a good grasp of sentence construction, grammar and spelling.  You will have an eye for detail and ability to work on your own initiative as well as an effective team member with a 'can do' approach.  You will be flexible and adaptable to embrace change as the service develops and evolves.

You will be aware of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and acting within the Data Protection Act.

Although based within a locality you will need to be able to travel to different locations (for which you will receive reimbursement) As part of the interview process a minute taking test will be given.
This is a very busy role but you will be given training and support working alongside experienced colleagues in a supportive environment.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
