Permanent Contract (from 1st September 2017) – Term Time only 6 hrs 40 mins per week (11.40 am – 1.00 pm weekdays) 

The Headteacher and Governors of The Primary School of St Mary & St Martin wish to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Level 2/Grade 2 EYFS Worker to supervise Foundation Stage children over lunch time. This is a NEW position as we have recently lowered our admission age to take three year olds (FS1) from September 2017. We would love you to come and be part of this exciting change at our super school!

We are a small, forward-looking village school with supportive governors and parents, and enthusiastic children who are keen to grow as learners. This summer we are undergoing major re-development work which will provide our pupils and staff with a bright and modern learning environment; and you could be working in an inspiring new EYFS Classroom and outdoor area! 

The successful candidate will be required to work with our Early Years teacher & EYFS Practitioner to: 

  • Supervise our youngest children over lunchtime; implementing agreed practice both inside and outside;
  • Work with the EYFS Team to manage/prepare resources to create an enabling play environment;
  • Engage with and support children with set activities, including independent problem solving and creative play;
  • Supervise children in social situations, helping them solve problems, overcome misunderstandings and negotiate with each other; AND
  • Inspire our children to have fun, become life-long learners and follow our school motto to “Let their Light Shine!”
