Yeoman Park is an outstanding school for pupils with severe (SLD), profound (PMLD) and complex (ASD) learning difficulties school aged 3-19. The school provides a stimulating, challenging and safe learning environment where individuals are valued and nurtured. The school will be converting to an Academy on 1st August and joining the Diverse Academies Learning Partnership (DALP).

2 classes of the Post 16 provision are located on the Manor Academy site adjacent to Yeoman Park and is shared with Manor Academy students

Due to the retirement of the present post holder we are looking to appoint an outstanding, creative and committed teacher to facilitate and deliver the Post 16 accredited curriculum to a group of learners with SLD and ASD.

Qualified teacher status and some experience of teaching SEND in a special school environment would be desirable. Knowledge of Aim Awards and transition process is also desirable.

The post holder will be part of the Upper school team and deliver the 14 to 19 curriculum on the Manor site. They would be expected to support colleagues to develop the existing good practice at Post 16 by developing assessment and new units for Aim Awards across key stage 4 and 5. They will also need to continue to develop positive links with Post 18/19 providers, parents and outside agencies to ensure smooth transitions for leavers.
