£7.97 - £8.55 per hour. A Living Wage Allowance is payable on all hours worked to bring the pay rate for this post up to £8.45 per hour, the maximum rate of pay is £8.55 per hour

The Catering & Facilities Management Service are looking to employ a Contract Cleaning Supervisor to assist in the day to day running of our Bassetlaw District Council Contract which in operation throughout the Bassetlaw District looking after the cleanliness of the District Council Sheltered Housing Schemes, Office accommodation and communal developments. As supervisor you will assist in managing a large team of cleaners over 90 establishments ensuring adequate cover and cleaning materials are available as well as dealing with the day to day training requirements of staff. There will be a requirement to undertake frequent audits across all sites and provide written reports to the management team on a regular basis. A van is provided and therefore a full driving license is essential. Cleaning experience is desirable but training will be given but ideally we are looking for someone with a proven track record in managing large teams of staff with the ability to motivate and direct staff to get the best results.

You will be required to work between the hours 6am & 8pm Monday to Friday as this is when the vast majority of staff are at work and you must be able to be flexible to meet the needs of the contract which world require you on occasions to work a split shift and some evening work as required to maintain the contract effectively. You will play a vital role as part of a large team, this post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative and you will be expected to program your daily routine to meet the needs of the contract.
