We are seeking to appoint a Science technician as soon as possible to work as part of a team providing technical support to the Science Department. Duties will include preparing materials and resources for lessons, setting up equipment for practical sessions and assisting teaching staff with practical and examination work.

The successful candidate will have qualifications in Science, preferably to A2 level, and at least one year’s experience of working in a laboratory is essential. The ability to use Microsoft office software is also desirable. Most important is the ability to be able to work independently and in a team, have initiative, and good organisational skills.

The hard work of both students and staff culminated in student progress placing the academy well within the top 5% of schools nationally and in 2016 88% of our students achieved A*-C grades in both English and Maths, helping place us in the top 10 schools nationally on pupil progress.
