Are you looking for a new challenge, whilst also remaining a practising social worker?

We are recruiting 2 Advanced Practitioners (Child and Family Social Worker) who will work in a District Child Protection or Childrens Disability Team, focusing on complex work including pre-proceedings and care proceedings. You will be the allocated social worker for a limited number of children with complex family circumstances and under the direction of the Team Manager will co-work and provide support to Social Workers to increase their knowledge and skills in high quality assessment, analysis and risk management.

Advanced practitioners will have line manager responsibilities for a limited number of non-social work qualified staff and social work apprentices in the team and will support with reflective and group supervision for other social workers.

Strong links and a close working relationship will be developed with the Court Team leading to greater flexibility in the transfer of social work responsibilities providing opportunities where appropriate for social workers to increase their experience of court work and ensure consistency for families.

Joint development and training opportunities for all Advanced Practitioners (District and Childrens Disability Team) will be developed to ensure consistency of knowledge and links between the teams, including joint meetings and Advanced Practitioner service days.
