We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and team-oriented individual to work within the Kinship Support Service, a team established in October 2022, supporting children and families living within kinship arrangements.

As part of this busy social care team, you will provide essential administration support to social workers, family workers and welfare rights officers within a Children’s Social Care setting. You will need to be an experienced administrator with strong administration skills which includes having a working knowledge of Microsoft packages which includes teams, word, excel, databases, power point and Outlook and ideally a knowledge of the use of SharePoint. Minute taking experience would be advantageous. You will also need to be highly organised, have excellent time management skills, be able to work towards and meet deadlines and be able to build up excellent interpersonal relationships with colleagues and families alike.

This role will be the first point of contact for families, local authority professionals and partner agencies, and so you will be able to manage difficult conversations tactfully, respectfully and effectively over the telephone and occasionally in person. Therefore, you will need excellent listening, recording and typing skills to record information accurately onto our internal database system (Mosaic). This role is an administration/office-based/ hybrid working post, however, there may be a requirement for limited travel on occasion, and so a driving licence would be advantageous. A taxi service will be provided where disability precludes this.

Hybrid working both at home and other office bases is supported.

For an informal chat please contact Lucy Collier, team manager, on 0115 804 1070 or at lucy1.collier@nottscc.gov.uk or on 0115 804 1407 or kinshipsupport@nottscc.gov.uk
