The Governors are seeking to appoint a new headteacher following the retirement of our well respected headteacher at the end of the summer term. Bracken Lane is a popular and successful primary school with well-motivated and supported pupils. Levels of attainment and achievement are high and the January 2013 Ofsted inspection judged it to be a good school.

We are looking for a headteacher who will:

  • Have high expectations that children can achieve well across the      full range of school activities.
  • Be innovative and prepared to introduce new ideas and strategies.
  • Be energetic and determined to develop talents at every level.
  • Be well organised and efficient.
  • Be able to delegate and support.
  • Be able to lead with commitment and gain the confidence of all      connected to the school.
