£7.97 - £8.55 per hour: ( A Living Wage Allowance is payable on all hours worked to bring the pay rate for this post up to a minimum of £8.45 per hour, the maximum rate of pay is £8.55 per hour).

Required to join our small friendly team at Hagg Farm Outdoor Education Centre in the Peak District to assist the Caterer in the kitchen with food preparation and do general cleaning around the centre. The Centre offers residential outdoor learning opportunities for young people. Please note there is no public transport to the Centre, with some weekend working required (payable at enhanced rates).

You will be required to work either between the hours 8am to 2pm, or 7am on days covering catering. When required to clean you will be responsible for the cleanliness of a designated cleaning area within the site. Duties will include: vacuuming, washroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, wash of furniture and window cleaning.

We are therefore looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment as part of a team of staff and able to communicate at all levels. Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Although you will play a vital role to assist the Catering Supervisor.

This post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative and you will be expected to program your daily routine to meet the needs of the site.
