We are recruiting to 1 x 37 hour and 1 x 18.5hr (afternoons) Contact Support Worker posts. The afternoon post will be required to work Monday – Friday 2.30pm – 6.00pm approximately (there may need to be some flexibility with these hours).

The role of the Contact Support Worker is to supervise contact between children who are in the care of the Local Authority and their birth families. The Contact Support Worker may also need to transport children to and from contact sessions.

Duties will also include coordinating work plans, maintaining contact venues, supporting Social Workers in their role and completing written electronic records of contact sessions.

We are looking for someone who works well as part of a team as well as being able to use their own initiative and have excellent written, verbal , IT and communication skills.

We wish to appoint a caring and sensitive worker who will undertake this challenging and rewarding role flexibly and creatively, ensuring they promote best outcomes and experiences for children and families.

An enhanced DBS will be required to be undertaken for this post.
