Planning, Monitoring and Enforcement Officer
The post requires you to manage a caseload of planning applications for a range of developments which the County Council has the responsibility to determine as the minerals, waste and county planning authority. In addition, you will also undertake monitoring inspections to ensure developments granted planning permission by the County Council are operating in compliance with the permissions and any legal agreements. You will also be required to deal with complaints from members of the public and cases of unauthorised development including assisting with any follow-up action.
The role offers the opportunity to handle a varied and challenging workload and requires effective liaison with site operators, the general public, elected County Councillors and technical specialists in a range of fields whilst respecting issues of a sensitive nature by working with tact and diplomacy.
