As part of our commitment to older person’s services an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, resilient individual to join a committed management team at Leivers Court. The unit is a busy 38-bed establishment providing substantive services for older people. This includes long-term care, short-term care, assessment beds and other services offered within the centre for vulnerable older people within the community.

We are looking for someone a friendly, flexible and approachable person to join our team who keen in their approach to working with older people and has an ability to work on their own initiative but also as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will need to have an understanding of the needs and feelings of older people and a keen interest in being a part of their daily lives, promoting independence and at the same time provide vital care services to Older people and support adults with physical disabilities, mental health problems and dementia.

You will be expected to act as the “named person” when on duty in the Team Leaders absence, which means being responsible for the well being and the quality of care of Service Users.

A working knowledge of Health & Safety, emergency procedures, risk assessments and care planning will be important and have an understanding of the Department’s equal opportunities policy.

We can offer training and a supportive working environment with regular supervision.

The earliest shifts being 7am – 2.45 pm and the latest shifts 2.30 pm –10.15 pm. This will include weekend and Bank Holiday working as per rota.
