Technical Support Assistant
The Sensory Team is comprised of Qualified Teachers of the Deaf, Qualified Teachers of Visually Impaired pupils, Specialist Teaching Assistants and a Habilitation Officer .
The Technical Support Assistant supports the production of sensory resources ( Braille and large print), promotes and manages the use of specialist equipment and technology, and trains staff as appropriate in the use of the resources, equipment and assistive technology.
The successful candidate will have a base at the Home brewery Building in Arnold, Nottingham but may be required to work across the county.
You will be expected to be very flexible and will need to be highly motivated and have a good understanding of the needs of VI pupils and their access requirements. You should have a positive approach to inclusion and have a clear understanding of the strategies used to develop inclusive practice in schools and settings for pupils with a visual impairment.
