Do you want to join a fast-paced exciting team who are responsible for ensuring that Nottinghamshire continues to have sufficient school places for all the children of statutory school age resident in the county?

You will need to be able to form positive relationships with local authority colleagues, schools’ staff and developers. You will be involved in producing and analysing accurate pupil place planning projection data which will provide essential evidence to the Education Funding Agency and to District Councils and Developers about the funding required to expand existing schools and build new schools. You will be working in a highly political and legislative environment where priorities can change over time.

This office-based post holds county wide responsibilities and will require you to represent Nottinghamshire County Council in external negotiations and regional meetings. The post is rewarding when funding is successfully secured, and schools are successfully expanded, or new schools are opened. Knowledge of pupil place planning, the education system, school admissions or a related field are essential.

If you wish to discuss this post please contact Karen Hughman Group manager, Education Access and Partnership for further information.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
