22.5 hours - Breakfast Club Assistant 10 hours (Grade 1-2) plus After School Club Assistant (Grade 1-2) 12.5 hours

Ordsall Primary School Tree House Club offers breakfast, after school and holiday care for children aged between 3 and 11yrs.

The Head Teacher and Governing Body of Ordsall Primary School wish to appoint one outstanding childcare practioner to work in our Tree House wraparound care provision at both breakfast and after school club from January 2017.

Ideally we would like to offer this position as one post but we are happy to consider applications for just the breakfast club or after school club element if required.

The possibility of additional hours in Pre-School and holiday club may also be available for the right candidates. Successful applicants are subject to an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and references.

We are looking for people who

  • are highly motivated and enjoy working with primary aged children;
  • hold a Level 1, 2 or 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent;
  • enjoys working as part of a wider team;
  • have excellent communication and organisational skills which are essential to liaise with parents, carers and other professionals;
  • ideally have Safeguarding, First Aid & Food Hygiene qualifications – if necessary training can be provided;     
  • are able to plan, prepare and deliver a variety of age-appropriate activities;

Hours: Breakfast Club - 7.30am - 9.00am days: Monday to Friday term time only.
After School Club 3.30-6.00 term time only.

Additional hours in Pre-School and holiday club, may also be available for the right candidate.
