The school is in a position to offer its next Head Teacher a strong platform from which to realise its true potential. Collaborative working to provide the very best for each pupil is at the centre of the school’s, and Equals Trust’s, aims. The new Head Teacher will share this belief and have both the vision and the abilities to work with all stakeholders to achieve success.

Our school occupies a large, well-resourced and attractive site and we are very lucky to have a new £1.5m foundation unit equipped with the latest technology. The individual ambition of the school is supported by everyone in Equals Trust. The new Head Teacher will have the opportunity to become a member of the trust’s ‘Leadership Team’ that is made up of each school’s Head Teacher and the Central Team staff. Opportunities for peer-to-peer support and cross-school collaboration will ensure the successful candidate has a strong network of support to enable them to achieve the very best for the school.

All stakeholders are engaged in the life of the school and a dedicated staff and governing body are supported by enthusiastic parents.

You will have:

  • A clear vision for the future of our school that further develops its ethos and the happy, safe and caring atmosphere that currently exists

  • Leadership qualities that will motivate and challenge everyone in the next stage of their development

  • Good emotional intelligence to ensure effective communication with all members of the school community

  • Well-developed leadership skills that will enable you to provide strategic leadership and management of a strong and experienced team who bring a wide range of complementary knowledge and skills

  • The ability to both inspire and work in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, governors and other stakeholders

  • A broad outlook and effective collegiate skills that will enable you to successfully engage with, and contribute to, Equals Trust through your role on the trust’s Leadership Group

In return we can offer you:

  • The opportunity to lead a successful, over-subscribed, two-form entry school

  • A dedicated and highly motivated staff who have strong relationships with pupils, parents and the local community

  • An active and forward-thinking governing body who want to empower and support the school’s Head Teacher

  • Professional development, collaboration and support through being a partner in Equals Trust. Via a place on the Leadership Group, you will have the opportunity to contribute to, and decide, trust strategy; especially that related to teaching and learning.
