Nottinghamshire is positive about change and has responded swiftly to the increased need for qualified Best Interests Assessors. We have created the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team, a dynamic new team that will deliver on this challenging agenda. As a member of the team, you will be supported by specialists in the field, and provided with BIA forums and regular refresher training to keep you up to date with case law. This is an exciting opportunity for you to excel in a challenging yet highly rewarding area of work. You will be an experienced Best Interests Assessor who is able to work flexibly and confidently, and willing to broaden your experience and develop the skills to work across a number of specialist service areas including Older Adults, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Physical Disabilities. You will be energetic and highly motivated with excellent communication skills to enable you to work effectively with a wide range of agencies. You will be a qualified Best Interests Assessor with a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, and ensure that you apply consistently high standards to ensure better outcomes for service users and carers. We are looking to appoint to a number of posts on a permanent basis. Applications will also be welcomed for part time working. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check. This post carries an authorised user car allowance or a taxi service for disabled people.
