An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Manor Academy as Deputy Manager of our alternative provision centre from January 2016 on a fixed term basis. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring and dedicated professional to support in the running of our Manor Vale Centre and in the delivery of the curriculum to small groups of students.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate with a proven track record of delivering high quality provision leading to excellent outcomes for students with behavioural difficulties. You will be able to forge effective relationships with students with behavioural difficulties and to establish and maintain high expectations of all students.

Under the supervision of the Alternative Provision Centre Manager, you will plan and deliver small group lessons and intervention sessions across the curriculum, ensuring learning is personalised to meet the needs of all students.

We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team, forge good working relations with colleagues and students, show initiative and has a positive approach to their work.

Our Alternative Provision Centre is an exciting and innovate new provision aimed at meeting the needs of our Key Stage 3 students with behavioural difficulties. It incorporates a range of lessons and vocational opportunities to maximise student engagement and progress.

This is an exciting time to join the Manor Academy as we embark upon a new and innovative curriculum for the 21st Century, based around three key principals; personalisation, choice and flexibility. The post-holder will join the Flourish Strand. Part of the personalisation of the learning experience is the issuing of an iPad to every member of staff and student to facilitate an ‘anytime anywhere’ learning culture.

We are committed to the professional development of all colleagues in order to enhance student learning, In support of this, we provide weekly CPD and collaborative planning time for all staff, ensuring they have the opportunity to produce high quality, personalised material.

The academy also provides all staff with access to the Worklife Support service which offers free of charge, tailored advice, support and guidance on a range of issues if and when required.
