Ashfield Living Well Team is looking for two enthusiastic, highly motivated, qualified permanent Band A/B Social Workers within our Physical Disability Specialism. You must be an experienced Band A/B Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, who wants to contribute to the work within a busy multi specialism team.

The post is within an established, supportive, multi-disciplinary team  comprising of Social Work and OT staff which provides an assessment and care management service. You will make a real difference in working with adults and their carers in a Community setting. There will also be a requirement at times to help support work within the other specialisms within the team including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Asperger's. Full Support to develop skills in this area will be provided.  

You will manage a caseload of some complex cases as well as undertaking Care Act Assessments and Reviews, Duty work and implementing Departmental policies. There is a commitment to Working with Partner Agencies such as Health Housing and the Police. You will also undertake Safeguarding Section 42 Enquiries.

It is desirable that you have experience of working with adults who are experiencing a range of Physical Health needs. You will have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislative framework that informs our work. You will also need a good working knowledge of the Care Act and experience of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and making Safeguarding Personal. Effective communication, flexibility and IT skills are essential.

You will be committed to strength based approaches, personalisation agenda and person-centred working at all times.
