Estates and Facilities Officer

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to support the Estates Section and the Estates Officer in maintaining Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service’s Estate.

The post holder will assist in the planning, preparation and administration of minor works projects, planned & reactive maintenance in order to ensure that the NFRS Estate is maintained safely and retains its operational effectiveness. They will administer Estate-related contracts including energy, water and other utilities to ensure NFRS are receiving the best possible value from these contracts.

The successful candidate will need experience of working within an Estates Management environment and be highly capable in the use of ICT and estate management software systems.

The post involves a great deal of interaction between internal departments and staff as well as external contractors and suppliers. For this reason the post holder will require high level of interpersonal skills in dealing with what can be at times difficult situations in the delivery of estate related services. The ability to work under their own initiative and at times autonomously is also a key requirement for this post holder.
