The Gedling Older Adults’ Team are looking to recruit a professional, self-aware and highly motivated Social Worker, who is passionate about making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable older adults and their carers. In return, we will provide you with a supportive, welcoming and professional environment for you to continue the development of your career. You will need to be a qualified Social Worker and registered with HCPC. We are looking for an experienced worker with a good understanding of the challenges facing modern social work teams as well as a sound understanding of the legislation, policies and procedures driving this area of practice. 

Central to the role, will be undertaking care and support assessments and reviews with service users’ and their families. You will also undertake safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014 (S42) as well as play an active role in the duty system. The use of mobile devices, smartphones and new ways of working are embedded within the team and are an integral part of the role.
