Rushcliffe Community and Voluntary Service (RCVS)

15 hours per week

This post is funded for one year by Nottingham North and East Clinical Commissioning Group (NN&E CCG) but may be extended subject to funding. A suitably experienced person is required to establish and coordinate a new project aimed at helping patients with respiratory conditions (predominantly Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease – COPD) to engage with activities which will help to reduce isolation and anxiety, improve their quality of life and equip them to manage their condition.

The post will involve establishing and coordinating weekly sessions in a community setting incorporating health and wellbeing activities, co-designed by users, with clinical input from health colleagues. The person appointed will have experience of working within voluntary or statutory organisations that serve the needs of older or vulnerable people. In addition they will have experience of organising and facilitating activities and events.

Excellent communication skills and strong organisational abilities are essential. The post will be based in our West Bridgford office and travel is a requirement of the post. Confirmation of appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.
