Faith in Families is a registered children’s charity and voluntary adoption agency providing a comprehensive range of services to children and families throughout the East Midlands and beyond. The Agency is well known for its comprehensive adoption support service which provides support to approved families as well as providing access to information and intermediary services to people involved in adoptions through the Agency historically. 

We have a reputation for excellence having been repeatedly rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted for our high quality adoption and adoption support work. We have a highly dedicated and skilled team to which we want to recruit exceptional candidates with significant skills, energy and enthusiasm, to carry on that work to ensure that every child has the right to grow up as part of a loving and nurturing family. 

We are looking for an experienced social worker to provide Maternity leave cover for 1 year.   The social worker appointed will be responsible for undertaking tasks related to the preparation and assessment of prospective adoptive parents which will include the completion of prospective adopter reports, as well as post-placement support to children and families and completion of court and agency reports. The role will also include co-facilitation of the agency’s preparation groups for prospective adopter’s.
