The Education Improvement Service is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled practitioner to join the team as an Education Improvement Consultant - Achievement & Equality.

The successful candidate will contribute to raising the achievement of all children and young people, including those with English as an additional language, in all of Nottinghamshire’s schools, academies and other education settings. This is an exciting post which will involve brokering and providing support directly into schools. As well as school-based work there will be the opportunity to lead and contribute to our CPD offer to practitioners through our targeted support and sold service. Through their work the post holder will act as a key contact for schools, providing support, challenge and advice in relation to disadvantaged or vulnerable groups. A willingness to work as a key member of the consultant team, sharing expertise and contributing to developments is vital, along with a clear understanding of the challenges faced by these children.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
