We are looking to appoint a high quality, dedicated & experienced care assistant to support identified pupils within F1 (Nursery).

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Work alongside the EYFS team initially in the development of personal care for identified pupils
  • Provide practical care and support in relation to personal hygiene, toileting and continence training
  • Provide hands on assistance in relation to the physical and sensory needs of identified pupils
  • Ensure the safety of identified pupils within the nursery environment
  • Liaise with other key workers involved in supporting the pupils’ education and health care needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo
  • Support identified pupils in relation to access within the nursery environment and wider school environment
  • Has knowledge and experience of working with young children
  • Can engage using non-verbal communication
  • Has extensive knowledge of working with pupils who display complex needs
  • Has knowledge of interacting and supporting pupils with ASD
  • Can contribute towards the pupil’s full inclusion within our nursery
  • Support our identified pupils 5 mornings per week (8:30am – 12:00 noon)
