There is an exciting opportunity to join our forward thinking establishment as an Education Data and Administration Officer.

The hours are 31.5 hours weekly term time only 39 weeks per year, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (8.00am to 1.30pm) includes 30 minutes lunch break. Wednesdays 8.00am to 5.30pm assumes 1 hour lunch break.

Due to the needs of the service, all annual leave must be taken during the education term time breaks only, note these are slightly different to mainstream schools. You will be required to administer examination results on the release day annually which is normally but not exclusively 23rd August.

Clayfield’s House is a Secure Children’s Home providing an intensive multi-disciplinary service to 20 children and young people who are complex, vulnerable, a risk to themselves or others and, placed in secure accommodation due to their offending behaviour or welfare needs. 

We are looking for an individual to undertake the management and operation of all Education Department administration within Clayfields House including examination entries, data handling and analysis and reports. You will be required to work in the secure area and will have some contact with children.

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience of at least 3 years in a full range of administration tasks and data handling preferably in an educational setting including data handling and statistical analysis and preparation of reports.
  • High level skills in Microsoft Office suite of programmes and ideally SIMS
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy and organisational skills
  • Experience in organising and maintaining in-house record keeping systems
  • Willingness to work within a secure environment for very complex and vulnerable children
  • Experience of customer focused service delivery
