Data protection and good information management has never been so important or so high profile. Individuals who share their personal data with the Council trust and expect us to keep it safe. We are looking for a Business Support Administrator to help us do just that.

You will be a key member of a small information governance team that is working across the Council to advise and support improvements in data protection and management. You will set up and maintain systems for tracking and recording key actions and will manage information held by the team to evidence the Council’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018. You will have excellent organisational skills, with good attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. You will have an interest in and commitment to data protection and information management and understand its importance to the Council’s business. On occasions you will be required to provide administrative support to other areas within the Legal, Democratic Services and Complaints Group.

Due to current pressures and the need to effectively manage our staffing resource, some vacancies may be withdrawn following advertisement, if identified as being suitable for staff at risk of redundancy.
