The head teacher and governors of Abbey Hill Primary and Nursery School wish to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to join our friendly, forward thinking school team.

This is a full time post to cover a maternity leave in a small class of Reception and Y1 children.

The post will be paid on the main pay range.

We are looking for a well-motivated practitioner who 

  • Can build friendly and supportive relationships with children which support well-being and personal growth
  • Are committed to the highest standards in the classroom and believe that all children can achieve
  • Can provide children with a stimulating, safe and happy learning environment
  • Have a good knowledge of what constitutes best practice in their key stage
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to include a range of learners and have high expectations for children’s behaviour
  • Are reflective about their own teaching and have high expectations of themselves
  • Work well as a team and can make good relationships with colleagues and parents
