We are currently seeking a Job Share Team Manager to jointly lead our North Nottinghamshire locality Youth Justice team. First rate communication skills, coupled with a commitment to Child First values, will be essential. Partnership working is at the core of Youth Justice work, thus the ability to work with, and influence, professionals in a variety of settings is a central undertaking of the role.
You will also have excellent skills in relation to working with young people and families, sound knowledge of criminal justice and proven experience of working to address risks and needs within the family setting.

Main elements of the role include:

• Management of day-to-day operations and performance of the North Youth Justice Team
• Taking a lead on development, performance and partnership working
• Working with the YJS service manager to manage the locality team budget
• supervising a case management team and working in close liaison with colleagues from other agencies
• Contributing to service-wide development and identifying actions to improve service delivery and outcomes

Furthermore, this post requires a formal relevant professional qualification e.g. Social work, Probation or an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a closely related field.

The post holder will provide regular quality assurance and supervision to case managers assessing, planning and delivering work with some of the highest needs and most complex young people within our communities and custodial settings.

Performance management is a key accountability of the role and the successful candidate will need to be confident in reporting to the YJS Partnership Board and the wider management team regarding performance in the North Locality and with regard to the any specialist areas assigned.

Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
