We are looking to recruit an Intelligence Support Officer to work within the Intelligence and Understanding Demand Team based at the Mansfield Trading Standards office.

The role involves researching and collating information from Trading Standards databases to provide intelligence on individuals or subject areas to help direct the activities of the Trading Standards Service.

You will produce reports to identify trends and assist managers in targeting the areas of most concern to Trading Standards. You will also be expected to assist in the preparation of legal documents, working with the service’s Legal Manager and Accredited Financial Investigators.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible team player who is a good communicator and has a proven ability to work on their own initiative and plan and prioritise their work effectively. This is an interesting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our dynamic forward- thinking Trading Standards Service to take strong effective enforcement action to tackle the issues causing the most detriment to our communities.

A condition of this employment is the successful completion of the Intelligence Analyst Apprenticeship Standard, level 4. The duration of this Apprenticeship is 18-24 months. To complete this apprenticeship, you must achieve L2 Functional Skills in English and Maths.
