The Directors of Sparken Hill Academy Trust are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, approachable and organised receptionist to join our team to start in September 2016.

The Post holder will be responsible for all front of house duties relating to the reception area, providing a professional and efficient service to the academy whilst delivering high quality customer service as a positive role model for the children, parents, staff, visitors and stakeholders of the academy.

The post holder will work as part of the administration team, responsible for:

•             Responsibility for answering all incoming calls to the Academy

•             Responsibility for greeting and dealing with visitors to the Academy in a professional and welcoming manner.

•             Ensuring all visitors to the School are recorded and have completed the relevant ‘signing-in’ process;

•             Issuing visitors with the relevant lanyard to ensure that safeguarding procedures are met;

•             Opening and distribution of all the post delivered to the School.

•             Checking and distribution of parcels delivered to the School reception.

•             Undertaking cash collection duties, including simple recording as required.

•             Providing radio contact for the Academy team via two-way radio.

•             Responsibility for administration and typing duties.

•             Contacting the Emergency Services as directed during any emergency.

•             Collecting and storing all lost property.

•             Monitoring of stationery for the main office areas.

•             General administrative duties for the School.

•             Complying with the School’s Child Safeguarding Procedures, including regular liaison with the Designated Child Safeguarding Person over any safeguarding issues or concerns;

•             Complying with the School policies and procedures at all times.
