£16,231 to £17,714 p.a (pro rata for part time)

We are looking for an experienced administrator for St Michael’s View care home in Retford.

There is another administrator working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday on week one and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday on week two – this vacancy is for twelve hours working Thursday and Friday on week one and Monday and Tuesday on week two working 6 hours per day on a rolling two week rota.

St Michael’s View offers a care home for adults with dementia, physical disabilities and old age.

This post supports the managers and care staff who look after the residents and there will be direct contact with the service users and their families and professional staff.

You will have previous administrative experience with good communication and customer care skills which will enable you to liaise with internal and external customers and providers.

You will receive full support and training however the following qualities and skills are also required: 

  • Good accuracy, numeracy and literacy skills to NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • IT (Microsoft Office);word and excel
  • Financial experience, keeping accurate financial records, banking, invoices, payment of accounts, cash handling
  • Experience of providing business support in a busy environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to deal with people sensitively and professionally
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • The ability to prioritise your work and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing environment and take on new challenges to meet service needs
  • Ability to use own initiative and able to work unsupervised
  • Appreciation of the need for confidentiality
