The Academy opened in January 2013 for students aged 11-18 years and has an adult education department with up to 4000 adult learners. This will be an exciting time to join us as we progress to become an outstanding provider of education.

For Easter 2017, we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and dynamic teacher of geography to join our successful team in humanities. This post will include the teaching of KS3-KS5 mainly in Geography. We require an innovative and motivational teacher with excellent subject knowledge and the desire and commitment to raise achievement of all students at all levels. The facilities in the Academy for all aspects of humanities are excellent and the successful candidate will be supported by a team of 5 other staff. The role of head of humanities is a key area within the Academy and will complement an already very strong team of middle leaders.

Key responsibilities for teaching staff:

  • Inspire students to achieve their very best.
  • Ensure all teaching is rated ‘good’ or better.
  • Ensure all students make outstanding progress and achieve challenging targets.
  • Fully implement all Academy policies and procedures.
