Kimberley School is an exciting place to work. Our aim is for every child to achieve or surpass their academic and social potential. We achieve this through providing an outstanding quality of education, underpinned by a strong programme of care, guidance, support and enrichment.

All students study RE at Key Stage 3 and can choose to continue their studies into GCSE and A-Level. We are looking for someone who can teach RE at Key Stage 3 and GCSE. There may also be opportunities for candidates with suitable experience to teach A-Level in our highly successful Sixth Form.

The post is to cover a maternity leave and will be a one-year fixed term contract. We will consider applications from candidates looking for full or part-time.  Candidates with suitable experience may be offered a TLR responsibility for an aspect of leadership within the RE team.

This post is suitable for experienced candidates who are looking to work with an outstanding team; or for Newly Qualified Teachers.    As a lead partner in the East Midlands Teacher Training Partnership, and an early adopter of the Early Career Framework, we are well placed to support teachers at the start of their career.

If you have a passion for teaching RE, then we want to hear from you.  You will be working with a team of professionals who have an excellent track record of success and focus relentlessly on ensuring that students enjoy learning and make outstanding progress. As part of East Midlands Education Trust there will also be the opportunity for you to learn from the very best and prepare you for the next stage of your career.

The application pack includes a job summary, job description and person specification (available below). Applications must be made on an EMET application form which you can download from the East Midlands Education Trust website.  Please note that CVs will not be accepted.

When you complete the application form please set out in your answer to question 6:

- How your experience and qualifications have prepared you for this position; and

- The steps you will take to ensure that the students you teach enjoy learning and make good progress; and

- The nature of the post (full or part-time) that you are looking for
