An opportunity to work at this happy and successful infant and nursery school. Applications are invited from candidates with the experience and aptitude to be able to be an adaptable business manager to join our school and play a key role in its future. You will work closely with stakeholders to continue to develop the school and share our commitment to the learning, progress and well-being of all our children and staff.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated and resourceful professional. They will take the strategic lead in planning, development and monitoring of finance, personnel and premises related issues. They will be able to communicate effectively at all levels and will also lead and manage our office and support teams.

We invite people from a range of professional backgrounds with strong finance / accounting skills. Applications with a qualification in School Business Management or experience in school would be particularly welcome.

The structure of the school office will be:

• School Business Manager – (37 hours) 

• Clerical Assistant/Office Administrator – (37 hours) 

• Senior midday providing school meal information for the school kitchen – (5 hours) 

The School Business Manager will work 41 weeks per year – term time plus two weeks. It is anticipated the additional week will normally be worked at the end of the summer holidays, in preparation for the new school year, though 1 or 2 days may alternatively be worked at other times, in agreement with the head teacher, if this is more useful. Working hours will be 8.00am to 4pm Monday to Thursday during term time, Friday 8.00am-3.30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch.
