Nottinghamshire’s Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is the central point of access for all adult safeguarding enquiries, where information is shared between agencies to gather a comprehensive package of information and make timely decisions to protect vulnerable adults from harm, neglect and abuse. It is a complex, pressurised environment which offers a unique opportunity to develop your analytical and decision-making skills within a multi-agency environment.

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated Social Workers who want to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable adults who are at risk. You will be joining the team at a crucial stage in implementing new safeguarding processes in-line with the Care Act 2014 legislation and Making Safeguarding Personal Agenda. You will have the opportunity to contribute towards these developments and play an important role working alongside partner organisations such as: Police, Health, Probation, Training Standards Community Safety and Children’s Services.

You will need an understanding or working knowledge of Nottinghamshire’s Safeguarding Adults Procedure and Guidance, have excellent communication and analytical skills to analyse complex information and work collaboratively with partner agencies. You will also need to be adaptable and able to work well under pressure both individually and as part of a team and complete work to tight timescales.

At least one years’ post-qualification experience in front-line social work services and registration with the HCPC and have a CQSW/Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent) is essential.

You should have an understanding of and commitment to Nottinghamshire County Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy.

If you would like any further information, please ring Michelle Colbourne Team Manager on 01623 4349469.  You may wish to refer to the following web page address for further background information www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/mash
