Do you enjoy working as part of a multi-agency team? Do you want to contribute to a rapidly changing, innovative & effective service? Are you enthusiastic and passionate about Making Safeguarding Personal? If so this could be the job for you.

We are looking for highly motivated and dedicated people who have excellent customer service skills. You will be able to demonstrate your ability of leadership to support others with the rapidly changing world of social care, and that you are a positive role model to your colleagues, partner agencies and wider support networks for adults at risk of abuse and neglect.

You will be able to provide examples of your ability to think and work creatively and create an environment where others are encouraged and supported to explore new ways of working. You will have a thorough working knowledge of the Department’s current adult care strategies and that you keep up to date with the developments within Adult Social Care & Health & Safeguarding both locally and nationally.

You will be able to evidence the skills required to prioritise risk and effectively manage your own case load whilst providing support to your colleagues and partner agencies. You will also be able to identify issues and concerns that impact on service delivery and escalate these appropriately to your Team Manager.

You will need a professional qualification in social work and at least 2 years’ experience of working as a Band B social worker. You will have experience of complex safeguarding investigations and be able to evidence continued professional development along with good IT skills and be high analytical, a quick learner with the ability to use your initiative to work independently and as part of a team.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Michelle Colbourne, Team Manager on 01623 434946.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
