The Manor Academy is looking for talented, committed and inspiring Lead Teachers of GCSE and A-Level Mathematics.  This post represents a fantastic opportunity for new or established colleagues whom aspire to grow and develop as outstanding lead teachers within the context of our innovative stage not age curriculum.

Working closely with the Head of Mathematics, as a successful lead teacher, you will join a team of supportive, hard-working and talented teachers who put students first in their quest to provide the very best learning experiences for all. We are looking for colleagues with drive, energy, a genuine love for teaching and learning and a passion for Mathematics. You will have outstanding teaching practice and be willing to support the development of teaching and learning within the department.

As an Academy, we are committed to the professional development of all colleagues in order to enhance student learning, organisational efficiency and to provide the very best for the students in our care. In support of this, we provide weekly CPD and collaborative planning time for all staff, ensuring they have the opportunity to produce high quality, personalised material. Regular individual career coaching, planning and development sessions are also provided.

From September 2013, subjects across the Academy were organised into four independent ‘Strands’, in one of these strands, English joined with Mathematics to allow us to organise a flexible timetable that is focussed on personalised pathways for students. This is a truly stage not age curriculum, where students work in vertical groups and sit examinations when they are ready.

 The Academy is committed to the safeguarding of all children and young people. The offer of appointment will be subject to enhanced level DBS clearance, receipt of two good references and satisfactory completion of other vetting procedures.

 Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a DBS, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident. Additional employment and referencing will also be undertaken.
