The Care Act enshrined Safeguarding Adult Boards in legislation, significantly raising the profile of this important area of work. This post provides an excellent opportunity to work with, and contribute to, the development of the already well respected and effectively functioning Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB). This multi-agency partnership is responsible for the arrangements to safeguarding adults at risk of abuse and neglect. You will (with your job share partner) be responsible for the well established strategic safeguarding adults’ team that supports safeguarding work in a number of agencies. Guidance and ongoing support are available from the Group Manager and Independent Chair with whom you will work very closely.

We are looking for a dynamic, committed and experienced manager with extensive safeguarding knowledge to lead the effective implementation of the published NSAB strategic plan. The work provides an excellent opportunity to engage with a range of organisations through NSAB and its associated sub groups.

To meet the requirements of this high profile and challenging post, you will have excellent communication and organisational skills and a proven ability to work at a strategic level with senior colleagues from a wide range of agencies.

For an informal discussion please telephone: Stuart Sale, Group Manager, Maximising Independence on 0115 977 4594 or Cherry Dunk, Group Manager Quality Assurance, Citizen Safety on 0115 977 3268.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
