County Hall, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 7QP.
£29,854 - £34,196 per annum (pro rata for part time)

We have recently agreed a new structure for our Internal Audit Section. The changes recognise the on-going need for highly skilled, professional auditors to complete a range of challenging work. We now require additional, talented and enthusiastic Senior Auditors to make a significant contribution to the work of our high quality Internal Audit Section.

Our Senior Auditors play a key role in carrying out complex, Council-wide audits and special investigations, in addition to supervising the work of other auditors in completing their assignments.

We need our Senior Auditors to keep up with the pace of change in the Council. You will need the ability to grasp complex issues quickly as you work with clients to provide assurance and to advise on the control, risk and governance aspects of service developments.

Your auditing skills will be grounded on at least 3 years’ audit experience and a qualification to IIA level or AAT (or equivalent).

Based in West Bridgford, Nottingham, the job requires some business travel around the county of Nottinghamshire. You will be equipped to work flexibly and off-base to suit the requirements of the work and your clients.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
