Could you be part of a dedicated and committed team providing support to disabled children, young people, and their families across Nottinghamshire?
We need support workers to deliver care and support to disabled young people in the community, in their homes and in our bases. We support young people across the whole County, with bases in Ollerton, Mansfield and Chilwell. These roles work across both our Home Support and Community Support teams within the service.
The role can be challenging at times but so rewarding. You will build positive relationships with young people and make a difference to their lives by providing safe, supportive, and positive care (including personal and intimate care.)
SST operate 7 days a week, therefore we are offering a rolling rota, working 4 days (8hr shifts, some split shifts and full days) on, then 4 days off, this rota rolls over an 8-week period, with an average 28hrs per week, various relevant enhancements are paid, such as evening and weekend working allowances. This role is countywide, so you will be required to travel around the county, therefore a driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.
You will need to:
- Have experience working with children and young people.
- Ideally, you will have a relevant qualification, if not, you will have the opportunity to undertake an appropriate qualification with support in place once you have completed a successful induction / probation period.
- Have great communication skills – both written and verbal
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Have commitment and personal drive to achieve excellent outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

The Specialist Support Team (SST) need:
- 7 Support Workers
- 28hrs hours per week, over a 8 week rolling rota inc. weekends.
- Grade 3, £21,575 - £22,369 per year-pro rata
- £11.21-£11.62 per hour (Weekend / evening working enhancements paid.)
- Extensive training included.
