This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly remodelled Developmental Trauma and Attachment Team – Specialist Social Work Team (previously known as the CAMHS Social Work Team).

The team specifically work to support to children, young people and their families who have experienced adverse childhood experience that is deemed to be impacting on their emotional and mental health. These children and young people may be living with birth family or with Kinship carers. The team offers specialist professional consultation to social work colleagues and have an interface with Specialist Community CAMHS.

We are looking for candidates with excellent communication and organisation skills, who can work well within a busy social work team and able to work with a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approach with social work and CAMHS Colleagues utilising their autonomy, social work and therapeutic expertise.

Experience of working therapeutically with children, young people and their families where there are issues of trauma and attachment is desirable.

The post will provide the opportunity to extend your skills, knowledge and experience within a specialist area of social work with opportunity to access relevant training.
