There is a vacancy at West View Residential Children's Home in Pleasley. The post is working with four young people aged between 10 and 18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. We are looking for an excellent Residential Care Worker who can support young people who have experienced abusive situations and manage very challenging behaviours, including self harming incidents.

You must have a minimum of 6 months experience of working with children, young people or adults, either in a voluntary, work or other relevant setting. If you do not already have the level three diploma, you will be required to register and gain this qualification. You will receive regular supervision and training.

You will need to have a good understanding of the importance of health and safety in relation to maintaining a high standard of safety within the home. We are looking for someone who is calm, patient, has the ability to use their own initiative and able to have resilience in difficult situations enabling the most positive outcomes.

You will be required to work on a rota which includes weekend and bank holiday work. Shift work has a big impact on your lifestyle and you will need to consider this when applying for the post.
