Electrician (Housing Repairs)

At Broxtowe Borough Council, we are looking for a competent Electrician to work within the Housing Repairs Section providing a comprehensive electrical testing and repairs service for Council residents throughout the borough.

This is an exciting time within the Housing Team as we are embarking on an ambitious project where in-house service delivery is being increased. Undertaking periodic electrical testing within occupied and void properties will be one of the main aspects of this role, so it is important that you are able to demonstrate such knowledge and skills and are aware of the need to complete works in a timely, cost effective manner.

Whilst undertaking the necessary electrical works, it is also desirable that you are able to undertake any associated works at the same time. However, any training needed will be provided.

Applicants will also be expected to participate within the Council’s out of hour’s emergency callout service on a rota basis for which an additional payment will be made.
